In the salt therapy room (1) subject to the invention, moisture that may form inside the room (1) is prevented, fresh air inside is continuously circulated, thereby ensuring that the air inside the room (1) has strong ionization. Additionally, salt particles are introduced into the room (1) in micro-sized particles via a salt generator (6).
Halotherapy (Greek halos = salt) is salt therapy. The origin of halotherapy is based on speleotherapy salt caves. It began when workers in the mines in Poland discovered that their asthma and lung diseases were miraculously cured. Research has shown that this was due to the effect of salt.
Salt rooms are covered with dry rock salt on the floor, ceiling, and walls. This covering acts as a protection against atmospheric humidity and helps maintain the aseptic characteristic of the environment.
The circulation machine in salt rooms sprays salt particles into the air, ranging in size from 1-5 microns. These particles reach the lungs first through the respiratory tract and then other parts of the body. In a salt room, therapy is provided simply by breathing comfortably. Article 14 - (Amended: 05/03/2011, Official Gazette No. 27865) Applications for the use of terms related to beauty, aesthetics, and physical care units in the name of the facility are evaluated on the condition that at least five of the following units are available in the facility's capacity: a gymnasium, a sauna with an alarm system, a Turkish bath, a steam bath, a snow room, a salt room, a salt steam room, a hot stone room, massage units, apparatus massage units, skin care units, a heated pool, and that these services are provided by trained personnel.
